Named for the rolling sea mist so common here on the east coast of Scotland, this gorgeous warm grey and ecru Okinami is woven with soft bamboo viscose and supportive Shetland wool.
Shetland wool is one of the finest wools around, the wavy fibres make for a wonderfully soft and mouldable fabric. Light grey Shetland wool is paired here with malleable bamboo viscose in ecru, these alternating yarns give a lovely pinstriped effect across the weft. Okinami Haar is perfect for newborns, but will transition well for use with bigger kids thanks to the supportive nature of this fabric.
Shetland wool is soft and silky to the touch, perfect for guarding against wintery weather this durable yarn is cosy yet breathable. As Shetland wool doesn’t have the ‘guard hairs’ of other woolie yarns it has noticeably less prickle than traditional wools.
Our organic cotton is softer and stronger than most normal cottons, produced ethically this cotton is grown with care and without chemicals keeping the land, and farmers, healthy.
